ADMER™ Adhesive Resin is a polyolefin tie layer resin designed to bond:

  • Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol (EVOH)
  • Polyamide
  • Polyethylene
  • Polypropylene
  • Steel and Aluminum
  • Polyester (PET)
  • Polystyrene
  • Ionomer
  • Polycarbonate

Available in pellet form, ADMER™ Adhesive Resin can be used in a wide variety of coextrusion processes for bottles, tubes, sheets and films. Mitsui Chemicals can offer an adhesive resin solution for your sophisticated multilayer barrier structures.

ADMER™ Adhesive Resin is currently used in used in automotive, chemical, and industrial applications where durable adhesion is required. In these applications ADMER™ offers superior performance as a binder or coupling agent for Fiber Reinforced Plastics (FRP), Plastic Fuel Tanks (PFT), Fuel Lines, Fuel Filler Pipes, and Connectors.

ADMER™ Adhesive Resin adheres by thermal reaction to Polyamide (Nylon), EVOH, Polystyrene, Polyesters (PET, PETG), Polycarbonate, Polyolefins (PP, PE) as well as steel and aluminum. The mechanical strength, heat resistance and chemical resistance properties of ADMER™ enables the multilayer structure to be boiled, hot filled and retorted.

ADMER™ is used as tie layer for dissimilar materials in a multi-layer barrier structure. Key applications include automotive fuel systems, multilayer barrier packaging for cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or food products, industrial metal coating, as well as oil and gas pipeline protection.

ADMER™ is used as a tie layer resin in integrated plastic fuel systems. Available in pellet form, this high-performance adhesive resin shows superior long-term adhesion, toughness, aging resistance and enables fuel system suppliers and OEMs to deliver fuel components with low permeation and superior durability.

ADMER™ binds the barrier materials in a multilayer construction with the toughness and adhesion required to deliver consistent permeation resistance, preventing evaporative emissions without weakening fuel system performance.

ADMER™ grades are certified and comply with FDA, EEC directives, and Japan Hygienic Olefin and Styrene Plastics Association (JOSPA) regulations. ADMER™ grades may be used in direct food contact.
