TAFNEL™ and SYNTEX™ Nonwoven Fabrics

Mitsui Chemicals America supplies high-performance polypropylene based nonwoven fabrics used in the most demanding applications. TAFNEL™ needle punch fabrics deliver a bulky structure, well suited for oil absorbent applications. SYNTEX™ spunbond and meltblown fabrics offer an outstanding selection of fiber diameters, for agricultural, clothing, bedding and furnishing, hygiene, wiper, medical and filter applications. A wide variety of fabrics weights are available.

Mitsui Chemicals America provides the following types of polypropylene based nonwoven fabrics:

SYNTEX™ Nano Meltblown Fabric

  • Fiber diameter less than 1.5μm
  • gsm range of 10 ~ 60 g/m2
  • Very fine particle, high efficiency, liquid filtration
  • Chemical resistant

SYNTEX™ Nano Meltblown Fabric

SYNTEX™ Nano is considered a sub-micron nonwoven fabric. Uniquely produced with Mitsui Chemicals’ proprietary technology, this high performance nonwoven fabric is suitable for the most demanding filtration applications that require removal of very fine particles in liquid. Depending on the grade, SYNTEX™ Nano filtration efficiency can reach over 90% when tested with micron size particles.
